International Health Organisation Updates

NEW ZEALAND
As of 6:00pm [NZST] 02 April there are 76 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 13 new probable cases. There are no additional deaths to report.

There are now 92 reported cases which we can confirm have recovered. The combined total of confirmed and probable cases in New Zealand is 797, 89 more than yesterday.

Hong Kong

The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health (DH) announced that as of 4pm [HST] today (April 2), the CHP is investigating 37 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19, taking the number of cases to 803 in Hong Kong so far (comprising 802 confirmed cases and one probable case).

SINGAPORE
As of 02 April 2020, 12pm [SST], the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified an additional 49 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore, of which eight are imported and 41 are local cases who have no recent travel history abroad.

ITALY

State Government Health Updates (Australia)

VIC DEPT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES

As of 1pm, [AEST] 1 April 2020, Victoria has 968 total confirmed cases, 26 people are in hospitals including six people in intensive care. Four people have died.

NSW GOVT HEALTH
As at 8pm [AEST], 31 March 2020, an additional 150 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed, since 8pm 30 March, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in NSW to 2,182.

QLD HEALTH
Status as at 01 April 2020 Queensland has 40 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) raising the state total to 781.

TASMANIAN DEPT OF HEALTH
As of 6pm 01 Apr [AEST], Tasmania has confirmed two cases of coronavirus.

This brings the State’s tally to 71.

SA HEALTH
As of 6:00pm [AEST] 01 April thirty people in South Australia have today tested positive for COVID-19. There have now been a total of 367 confirmed cases in South Australia.

Investigations are ongoing into the cluster of cases identified yesterday at Adelaide Airport. Eleven baggage handlers and another two close contacts have tested positive for COVID-19, taking the cluster to a total of 13 cases. The first case related to the cluster received a positive test result on 27 March.

WA HEALTH
The Western Australian Department of Health has reported 28 new cases of COVID-19 overnight, bringing the State’s total to 392.

Seventeen new cases are from the Perth metropolitan area, nine are from regional Western Australia and two are under investigation.

Seven of the confirmed cases are travellers who have returned from overseas – three are from cruise ships, one from domestic travel, eight are close contacts of confirmed cases and nine are still under investigation.

NT HEALTH
As of 6:00 am [AEST] 02 April there have been no additional cases in the NT leaving the State’s total at 19.

As of 6:00 am [AEST] 01 April there have been five (5) new confirmed ACT cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours bringing the ACT’s total to 84.
